Montracon will be bringing a new trailer development to Road Transport Expo 2026, with the team set to reveal it for the first time at Stand Y30 between 30 June and 2 July at NAEC Stoneleigh.
While full details of the trailer are being kept under wraps until the show itself, Montracon has confirmed that the new development has been shaped directly by feedback from fleet operators and reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to building trailers around real operational needs.
A New Chapter in Montracon’s Manufacturing Story
Over more than 49 years, Montracon has built its reputation as a UK trailer manufacturer on a straightforward principle: build trailers that genuinely work for the businesses operating them. That principle hasn’t changed, but the way it’s applied continues to evolve as fleet operations, regulations and customer expectations shift over time.
The trailer being unveiled at RTX 2026 is the latest example of that evolution. According to Montracon, the development process began with conversations across the fleet operator base, identifying recurring challenges and working through how those challenges could be addressed in a way that fits within Montracon’s existing standards for quality, strength and longevity.
As a commercial trailer manufacturer with full in-house production capability, Montracon has the flexibility to take a development like this from initial concept through to a finished, road-ready trailer without relying on third-party manufacturing input. That control over the entire process, from bare steel through to the finished build, has played a part in shaping the new trailer.
Why RTX 2026 is the Right Platform for the Reveal
Road Transport Expo has grown into one of the most significant events in the UK transport calendar, and Montracon has chosen this year’s show as the setting for the unveiling.
RTX 2026 brings together fleet operators, hauliers, manufacturers and transport professionals from across the country for three days of product demonstrations, industry discussion and direct engagement between manufacturers and the operators who use their products. For a company introducing a new trailer development, it represents an opportunity to put that development directly in front of the audience it was designed for.
Steve Pollock, Sales and marketing Director for Montracon explained that the decision to reveal the trailer at RTX, rather than through a standard press release or online announcement, reflects the value the company places on face-to-face engagement with our customers. Seeing a trailer in person, asking questions of the team and getting a feel for the detail of the build is simply a better way for operators to evaluate something new.
What Montracon Has Confirmed So Far
While the specifics are being held back until the show, Montracon has confirmed a number of details about the development and what visitors to Stand Y30 can expect.
The new trailer has been developed with direct input from fleet operators, focusing on the kind of day-to-day operational requirements that don’t always get addressed in standard trailer specifications. It has been built entirely in-house, in keeping with Montracon’s established manufacturing process, and carries the same Made in the UK accreditation as the rest of the company’s range. 100% Manufactured in the UK.
Montracon has also confirmed that the trailer reflects the company’s broader focus on innovation within trailer manufacturing, an area the business has continued to invest in despite, or perhaps because of, its near 50-year manufacturing history. Longevity in this industry, the company suggests, comes from a willingness to keep developing rather than standing still.
Beyond that, Montracon is keeping details deliberately limited ahead of the reveal, with the company stating that visitors to Stand Y30 will be among the first to see the trailer in person.
What This Means for Fleet Operators
For fleet operators attending RTX 2026, the unveiling adds an additional point of interest to a show that already covers a broad range of products and services across the transport sector. As an established fleet trailer supplier, Montracon’s product announcements tend to carry weight within the industry, given the company’s manufacturing history and the scale of its existing customer base.
Operators considering future fleet investment, replacement of ageing trailers, or simply keeping an eye on developments within the sector are likely to find the reveal relevant, regardless of which part of Montracon’s existing range they currently operate.
Alongside the new trailer, the Montracon team at Stand Y30 will also be available to discuss the company’s established range, including curtainsider, box van, flat/platform, skeletal and machinery carrier trailers, as well as parts, warranty and aftersales support.
Visit Stand Y30 to See the Reveal in Person
Montracon has confirmed that the new trailer will be on display at Stand Y30 throughout all three days of RTX 2026, giving visitors multiple opportunities to see it and speak directly with the team involved in its development.
For anyone attending the show, Stand Y30 is worth building into your visit, whether you’re specifically interested in the new development or simply keeping up with what one of the UK’s established trailer manufacturers has been working on.
Montracon has not given an indication of when further details might be released ahead of the show, suggesting that the full picture will only become clear once RTX 2026 opens its doors at NAEC Stoneleigh.
